Do fair tenders really exist in this country ? What is the deciding factor of a tender, lets list a few that the company applying should have

1. past experience
2. a good track record
3. decent infrastructure and resources to handle the project

These days, none of the above apply, you can operate from a small shop, have no experience and you don’t need any references, why ? Is it money ?

Now when we say money does it mean, the tender is awarded to the lowest bidder ? NO, the tender is awarded to the person who can pay a certain controlling the tender the highest amount !

Yes, it’s true, speak to a few top business in our country. They are now very frustrated, as with all their experience, all the capabilities, and all their fairness they are loosing out, to small mushroom companies, who appear out of nowhere, but are awarded the tenders.

In 3 such tenders, as I recall, what happened ? an individual or a bunch got rich, and the company lost. Why do companies keep such people, who destroy them ? If you speak to 5 top company heads and ask them how’s business, you will know what I’m talking about.

If you ask the companies who go for these shady tenders, their heads, will say it was a big mistake, I don’t know how it happened. What do we do ?

First step would be for the companies holding the tenders to fire such individual who are arranging these deals. Second, someone should monitor these activities. When I say companies, a lot of these are government related, and we know how well our ministries work.

Take a look at some of the big tenders that have taken place in the recent past, look at those who have been awarded. Look at those who had bid. Compare their capabilities. I am trying to get some more details and that would be price for some, I heard for some, they were way more higher than all other bids with lower requirements or not meeting most requirements.

This letter will not be of any use, without evidence. I work for a company that has been in existence for over 5 years. We have proven work and we good customer feedback. I’m brining this to your attention as we have been loosing unfairly to this new type of competition. It is unfair, at first I thought we were loosing due to our products being of low quality but later I was told that this was not the case and was shown some proof.

I do not like to tell about other, but when other aren’t playing fairly someone has to intervene.
