Night club ban on Mervyn`s son lifted
This is an old story, just came across this when I searched his name. I was recently at a club and he was there and he had started some fight and then I remembered how was he out, I thought he had been banned from going out, but then I realized that was long ago.
I think for all these ministers kids they should ban them, not too long ago he had beaten up some guy at white horse this pub in navam mawatha. There is something called cnl here and he wasn’t allowed in for some reason so he deicded to beat up one of the organisers after that when he had found out or seen him at this white horse.
This is just absurd, people like us who have nothing to do with these also get into unnecessary trouble because of them. It’s like when they terrorised that place sopranos near clanys. They couldn’t get into the place clancys which they had a problem with so they destroyed the inoccent place next to it which had nothing to do with it. They harassed the guests there, stole their phones and jewellery, destoyed the bar and so on, and walked free. A friend had been there and they are now terrified to go anywhere, they used to go to this place as this type of people didn’t come there but after what happened even decent places they are scared to go to as these poeple will come there for some stupid reason and bash it up.
Who the hell is going to put a stop to this ????

Minister’s son is accused of assaulting police officers
Sri Lanka’s courts have ordered police to report on the progress of the investigations against a son of a deputy minister, who allegedly assaulted police officers.
Colombo Fort magistrate Sarath C Karunarathne also issued notice to Officer In Charge (OIC), Crime Branch, of the Colombo Fort police to appear before the courts on 05 August.
The magistrate issued the orders after reviewing a report by the police on the incident.
Deputy Minister Mervyn Silva’s son, Malaka Silva and two others were released by the police on bail on Monday without producing them before the courts.
The three were accused of preventing police from carrying out duty and attempting to shoot the officers who raided the night club in Taj Samudra Hotel on 24 July.
Police constable Lasantha of the Narcotics Bureau has been admitted to the hospital after the assault, police said.
Police Inspector (IP) Prabhath Balasingham has stated in his testimony that the police left the hotel to prevent any eventuality after they were assaulted by a drunken group.
But the Inspector General of Police (IGP), has told the journalists that there was no evidence to prove that the group led by minister’s carried any firearms.
It is believed that the police officers are angry about their chief’s remarks.
